Diamond vs Oval Face Shape: How to Tell
Both oval and diamond faces are widest at the cheekbones. In an oval face the forehead and jaw are only slightly narrower and the chin is rounded. In a diamond face the forehead and jaw are much narrower and the chin is pointed.
Comparison
| Oval | Diamond | |
|---|---|---|
| Forehead | Slightly narrower than cheekbones | Much narrower |

| Chin | Rounded | Pointed |
| Cheekbones | Widest point | Very prominent |
How to tell
Place your fingertips on your temples and then on your cheekbones. If your fingers move out a lot, you're diamond; if only a little, oval.
Or let our face shape detector measure it: diamond results show a low forehead ratio.
