What Face Shape Has High Cheekbones?
High cheekbones are most common in diamond, heart and oval face shapes. Diamond faces have the most prominent cheekbones, because the forehead and jaw are both narrower. High cheekbones sit close to the lower eye socket and create a visible hollow underneath.
High vs wide cheekbones
- High cheekbones sit close to the eyes. The highest point of the cheek is near the outer corner of the eye.
- Wide cheekbones stick out to the sides, making the cheekbones the widest part of the face.
Many people have both, especially those with diamond faces.
How to tell if you have high cheekbones
- Smile and find the highest point of your cheeks.
- If it sits close to the outer corner of your eye, your cheekbones are high.
- With a relaxed face, look for a slight hollow below the cheekbone.
